So, the official album launch party for The Agony & The Ecstasy was held in my hometown Cardiff on March 3rd this year. I had a great time there, it was one of the best shows I’ve ever done in Cardiff. And as a surprise bonus to make the night a little more special we thought it would be fun to have a samba band come out and perform during the last track of my set, All There Is, which has a percussive outro. The band we used was the local Samba Con Brio, who were very enthusiastic and helpful making this happen. Dynamite was also the perfect MC to deal with this kind of thing. There were also some ‘guest’ percussionists in the shape of my drunk cohorts Chris Goss, Dave Droneboy and Dan Aperture. I just filmed this clip on my phone so the sound is pretty distorted but you get the idea.
