I just noticed something after watching the video a few times. While at first it seems ambiguous as to whether the big guy will save himself by umping in the water after setting himself on fire, I think there is a clue here. The big guy is wearing a watch throughout the video, even on the same day as his ‘suicide’. But before he douses himself with petrol, he took the watch off so it wouldn’t be ruined when he ran into the water.

Am I correct?

It’s really hard for me to not stop watching this video every time I sit down at my computer. It’s easy to see High Contrast’s love of direction, as the video is filled with unique moments. My favorites are when the German Shepard jumps into the wheat(?) field, and when the young boy enters the frame and stares at the camera in time with the piano. This is how to keep music video production alive.

Oh, and the song is freaking ridiculously awesome.

Lots of cool moments here, but I especially like when the man in the suit pushes the unhinged door into a huge puddle of water. Did anyone photograph any of this while you were shooting? Still images would be cool to see, too.
